| UNANIMOUS VOTE TO FUND D.O.G. ALR THROUGH SCRATCH TICKET PROGRAM HOW IT WORKS Each participating post will receive scratch tickets. Each ticket has 50 spots on it each with a different value from $.50 to $3. Each donor will scratch 2 spots to determine the amount of his or her donation. Each donor will receive a thank you in the form of a page of coupons with a value of approx. $150. When all of the spots have been scratched off the card, turn it in with the money collected. Each post will have a qualifier of 10 tickets. Each time a post has turned in 10 tickets a $250 travel credit will be assigned to the post for reimbursement of expenses associated with any D.O.G. Streamer Event. A post may turn in as many tickets as they like and get a $250 travel credit for each 10 tickets turned in. In the event that the donation for any 10 tickets exceeds $1000 the amount over $1000 will be donated back to the post to support the post charities. A post may choose to let the travel account "build-up" for no more than 5 years. The post that raises the most will be presented the "TOP DOG" award and will be awarded custody of the D.O.G. ALR mascot "Rider" and will retain "bragging rights" for the year along with a place of honor at all streamer events. Upon completion of the custody year there will be a ceremony that will include an evaluation by the members to determine the "quality of care" that "Rider" received at the Top Dog post during the year. This will come in the form of a "mock" trial complete with a Judge, a Jury of 12, a prosecutor and a defense. When the Top Dog Post is found worthy they will relinquish custody of "Rider" to the new Top Dog post and receive "Top Dog" patches for every member of their post. In the unlikely event that the Top Dog Post was found to have fallen short in their care of our beloved "Rider" they will receive their "Dog House" patches. In the event that OMG the Post were to LOSE "Rider" That Post will be responsible for his immediate replacement. Post 145 Douglasville will be awarded temporary custody of "Rider" as it was they who submitted the name that won the vote. They will not be eligible for the patch because their custody is only temporary and they must relinquish custody to the post that sends in the first $1000 donation. (Any post may send the first $1000 donation at any time. NO NEED TO WAIT FOR TICKETS.) |
